Join our team as an Engineering Intern – Systems and Test:

Support systems engineering and test activities across the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system integration, test planning, execution, and documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate system performance, identify issues, and support verification and validation.

 

Each year SimVentions invites a select number of students to join us for our immersive 11-week paid internship program where you will experience our outstanding company culture while gaining valuable experience that you can implement into your post graduate professional career.

 

Eligibility: 

SimVentions offers internship opportunities across a variety of technical disciplines, including systems engineering, software engineering, modeling & simulation, and cybersecurity engineering. Priority consideration will be given to returning interns and students pursuing degrees that align with our core technical areas. Students pursuing degrees in other fields may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

 

All applicants must have completed their Freshman year of college and not yet graduated by the beginning of the summer internship period (i.e., must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior). 

Deadlines:
All resumes with attached cover letters must be received no later than December 31, 2026. Any resumes received after this time will not be considered. 

Notification: 
All candidates will be notified of their selection status no later than March 2027. 

Clearance

A Clearance is not required for our internship program but all candidates must be eligible to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

  • Completed Freshman year of college by the start of the internship (must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior).
  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program such as systems engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in technology, innovation, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficient in basic programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ (depending on your field of interest).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude with a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Previous experience or coursework in systems engineering, software development, or cybersecurity is a plus.

Responsibilities

Engineering Intern – Systems and Test

Support systems engineering and test activities across the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system integration, test planning, execution, and documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate system performance, identify issues, and support verification and validation.

 

  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to contribute to real-world engineering, software, and cybersecurity projects.
  • Participate in hands-on development, testing, and troubleshooting tasks within your assigned team.
  • Assist with the creation, implementation, and validation of engineering models, simulations, or software applications.
  • Contribute to the documentation of technical processes and findings.
  • Participate in team meetings, provide updates, and receive mentorship from senior engineers and project managers.
  • Learn and apply cutting-edge technologies and best practices in systems engineering, software development, and cybersecurity.
  • Conduct research and assist with the development of solutions to current technical challenges.
  • Engage in various learning and networking activities, such as training sessions, workshops, and company-sponsored events.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/Hour (USD).
