Clearance

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with software coding in Java Script and SQL
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter
  • At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code

Responsibilities

This role supports the Chief of Navy Reserve (CNR) and Commander, Navy Reserve Forces (CNRF) mission to advance warfighter readiness through data-driven decision making and data-enabled capabilities based on data management and stewardship, advanced analytics Artificial Intelligence (AI), process automation, innovation and digital modernization.

 

This position will perform  analysis, compilation, and implementation of contemporary industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the NR and for data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance to ensure enterprise data is Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked, Trustworthy, Interoperable, and Secure (VAULTIS).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves
  • Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance
  • Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
  • Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience supporting Chief of Navy Reserve (CNR).
  • Familiarity with Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked, Trustworthy, Interoperable, and Secure (VAULTIS)
  • Familiarity with Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership Development, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P)

Education

A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in a computer science, engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

 

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
