Overview

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Logistics Engineer Analyst supporting integrated logistics support and providing system engineering to join our team! This role will function as a Logistics Engineer Analyst supporting development of integrated logistics packages and system engineering analysis for a US Navy, major weapon system. They will work in a collaborative environment with multiple levels of engineers, providing direct support to senior stakeholders.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years professional or operational experience in developing logistics support requirements and applicable documentation for a major DOD weapon systems program that employs the use of GOTS and COTS products
• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing logistics management functions involving the development of training products and embedded help/training for a major weapon, combat, and/or fire control system
• Must be detail oriented and able to effectively communicate and disseminate information verbally and in writing
• Expert knowledge of and ability with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Participate in logistics engineering working group and technical interchange meetings
  • Provide ILS representation at program meetings and analysis of proposed system change candidates to determine potential ILS impacts
  • Provide logistics engineering and operational support for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) function through the development of source material for ILS products
  • Ensure engineering changes are properly incorporated in technical, operation and maintenance products
  • Support the design structure and user interface for a secure database to track product modification progress for integrated logistics support (ILS) products
  • Serve as the ILS representative and primary source material coordinator for Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS)
  • Develop, manage and present logistics, program impact briefs and papers for a US Navy, Major Weapon System in support of logistics product development
  • Review and analyze system requirements and identify training and operations impacts to the appropriate requirements and/or design specifications
  • Develop change package training and logistics impact reviews for TTWCS emergent engineering candidates detailing logistics products impacted, Fleet Support concerns, training impacts and provide draft logistics and training impact statements for US platforms
  • Provide fleet support representation for all change packages reviewing and providing inputs to requirements, interfaces, design for change package whitepapers and artifacts
  • Prepare and present Tomahawk systems engineering work group change request (CR) reports detailing CR impacts, workaround and recommendations for documentation. Track board decisions and assigned action items through workaround publication
  • Interface with Systems Engineering and Software functional areas update procedural workarounds for TTWCS fielded baselines
  • Evaluate high priority change requests (CR) with Fleet Support/Integrated Logistics Support impact, adjudicate these CRs Change Review Board, and assign, track, and assist with development of work around source material
  • Track documentation out for review of Working Group, Hardware, Software and Fleet Support review items. Assign reviews to various activities. Collect and collate comments and provide to author for adjudication
  • Provide subject matter expertise in all aspects of system test including requirements review for testability and clarity, test plan and procedure development, test execution, and test evaluation
  • Evaluate functional qualification tests for coverage of fleet operational procedures
  • Develop ILS Impact Statements for all new enhancements to the TTWCS

Preferred Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of Naval Surface Warfare programs and operations such as AEGIS and Tomahawk
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Access and Jira

Education

Preferred Bachelor of Science in engineering, mathematics, physics or computer science

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

 

The projected annual compensation range for this position is 52K - 77K (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
