Overview

This role oversees the full lifecycle of physical assets—from procurement and storage to distribution, covering equipment such as satellites, radios, routers, testing devices, and network hardware. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting logistics and supply chain operations across all stages.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

  • United States Citizenship
  • Experience with Navy programs, operations, and logistics management
  • Experience in maintaining precise inventory records and shipping documentation, tracking assets from acquisition to disposal
  • Ability to handle and distribute hardware and components necessary for assembling prototypes
  • Oversee and manage the configuration of hardware and equipment
  • Experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a flexible and dynamic work environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments of equipment, prototypes, and other physical goods to ensure accurate and efficient processing
  • Collaborate with various departments, suppliers, and carriers to ensure logistics needs are aligned with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers of hardware, components, and logistics services
  • Assess supplier performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure effective communication
  • Collect and analyze logistics data (e.g., shipping costs, delivery times, inventory levels) to identify trends, forecast needs, and support decision-making
  • Assist in managing the logistics budget, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Implement lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance logistics operations
  • Regularly assess and enhance logistics processes to adapt to changing needs and technology

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with inventory management, warehousing, and shipping/receiving procedures
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and customer interface experience, with excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in Logistics Support
  • Skilled in using logistics software, data analysis tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

 

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $64,000 - $98,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
